The slip
One sentence, then you are done.
A slip is what prints when the daily grid is finished. It holds one line: how a small mix-up turned out. A lost parcel. A spare key. A library hold. The trouble stays ordinary.
The end of the grid
The line is not a second puzzle. You do not keep solving after the digits are in. Nothing on the slip is violent. It is a sentence, and then the day is over.
You reach it by finishing the sudoku. The rules are the usual ones: each digit once in every row, column, and box. The slip does not add a clue, and it does not change a number you already placed.
Only the daily prints it
The slip belongs to that day's shared grid. Practice puzzles do not print it. The country leaderboard does not print it either. That board is finish times. XP and levels come from the time band of the daily finish. The sentence is separate from both.
No day's line on this site
The home page shows a sample slip, marked sample, so you can see the paper. That sample is not today's line. This page does not quote the sentence the daily will print. The note we send when the puzzle is ready does not contain the slip. You read the line by finishing the grid.
